My independent reading book is Riding with the Blue Moth by Bill Hancock.
Summary:
Bill Hancock's son, Will, is killed in a plane crash in 2001. Hancock decides it is time to fulfill his dream of riding a bicycle across the USA. A pesky blue moth of grief keeps following him along the way, disappearing then coming back again. This book is all about a man who tries to get on with his life and enjoy it without forgeting his son.
By the way, if you're thinking that the pesky blue moth is an actual moth, it isn't. I figured out that it was a metaphor after reading the book a while.
Pictures of Bill Hancock, his wife, and possibly Roci will be posted soon.
This is Bill hancock, dipping the back wheel of his bike in the Pacific Ocean in Huntington Beach, California.
